The Art of Kindness - Visual Art
MINDFULNESS in MAYThe Art of Kindness
This exhibition celebrates and acknowledges BC Youth Week and National Mental Health Week. In the year of 2021 we all find ourselves in a place of reflection and a need to share and care for each other. This is why “The ART of KINDNESS” was chosen as the topic for this year's exhibition. Students from School District #62 and home learners were encouraged to explore what KINDNESS means to them in their own lives and in their own language. We hope you too will choose to share some powerful conversations and heartfelt thoughts around the subject of “The Art of Kindness”. Please take time to reflect, recover, realize and share the benefits of being kind.
As you view and process this art think, feel and ask yourself
• Who benefits from kindness?
• Who needs or deserves more kindness?
• What does kindness look like?
• What can kindness offer to you?
• What can kindness offer to others?
• What can kindness change or fix?
